What does it mean to be a global citizen? Our Middle School students contemplate their place in the world in every game, conversation and keystroke.
In the Middle School, students delve deeper – exploration, creation, reasoning, and advocacy are core traits of the Middle School curriculum. In Middle School, our adolescent students learn to balance their coursework with their extracurricular activities, and through their advisory groups they learn study skills, organization and ownership while engaged in their learning. Students in grades 6-8 bring their own computer devices and integrate technology in each of their courses. In addition to core classes, Middle School students round out their schedules with a combination of Exploratory and Elective classes.
Between trimesters, middle school students participate in WOW Week – a one-week alternative to traditional classroom study, where students participate in an experiential learning opportunity. Students in the Middle School may choose to compete on an athletic team during one, two or all three trimesters.
