Dear BDS Friends:

Over the past several months there has been an exhaustive search process for our new Head of School. Our Search Committee, faculty, parents, and Board of Trustees invested significant time and energy in determining the person who will lead Burlington Day School to even greater levels of excellence in the future.

We are pleased to inform you that Stephen E. Switzer has been chosen as the next Head of our wonderful school beginning July 1, 2009. During the selection process it became clear that Mr. Switzer's genuine passion for education along with his proven independent school leadership abilities were just what our school community was seeking in our next Head of School. Mr. Switzer and his wife, Kathi, are truly excited with the opportunity to become part of BDS and the Burlington community.
